September Speaker: Jim Weishaar
His topic will be "Long Term Health Care" |
President's Cornerby George SchaefferOn Thursday, August 15, 2002, the U.S. and Marine Corps flags stood again in a corner of Peter M. Murphy's Pentagon office, almost as it was on 9 a.m. Sept. 11 2001, just before the plane hit. Murphy and 21 others became the first to move back into their rebuilt work spaces, as Pentagon renovation officials began making good on their promise to have workers back at their desks at the point of impact by the 1st anniversary of the attack. With economic woes capturing the headlines, and Iraq emerging as a wild-card issue of the 2002 election, there is a growing debate over whether the USA should launch a war to oust President Saddam Hussein. As we approach the 1st anniversary of this horror, please take time to remember those who lost their lives, the families whose lives were forever changed, and our military who are at the pointed end of the spear carrying out the fight against terrorism. The war is not yet over, please do not allow complacency to set in. |
