Several years ago, a chapter president proposed that then-TROA sponsor an effort to have TROA overseas caps manufactured for purchase by chapter officers and members. He felt that these overseas caps would be more appropriate for wear at official ceremonies such as Memorial Day parades, Veterans' Day events, and the like -- more appropriate than the baseball-style hats offered. The gentleman specifically referenced the caps widely used by the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and others.

A story about this concept was published in the TROAGRAM and a manufacturer was found willing to make the caps. The firm's name, address, phone number and web site were provided, but in all honesty, the manufacturer reported there did not seem to be much interest in the item.

Now that we have changed our national name, this same gentleman has asked that we again poll our chapters for interest in this style cap.

MOAA is asking for your assistance. Would you be interested in purchasing one? Yes No
